Hi all,
DISTRO_VERSION had been set to "v0.8.3" for the release candidate
images which causes a couple of problems, the most relevant being:
1) The images identify themselves as a proper release via /etc/issue
and /etc/familiar-version. There's no way to distinguish between
installations of the various RCs and the upcoming release - people
will rightfully claim they're running 0.8.3 while they're not.
2) The feeds are located in
http://familiar.handhelds.org/releases/v0.8.3/feed/
The current plan for the feeds will result in breakage for existing
RC installations without prior warning.
Since there's no way to fix especially 1) within the 0.8.3 "namespace"
I'm going to set DISTRO_VERSION to "v0.8.4-rc1" now.
Erik, can I talk you into taking care of Bugzilla adjustments?
George, I believe the Bugzilla template (footer) will also need to be
adjusted. Could you look into that?
Regards,
Rene
