I might have another one but I am not sure, so let
me raise it here first: when reflashing my iPAQ 3970
with an Opie image that I compiled myself two months
ago(*) it stopped reporting the battery charge percentage.
That has always worked fine before.

I know that

discusses battery learning. I couldn't find a similar
documentation for the 3970. Does it apply?

Either way, it is said to be off in my case now. The page
also says that one should increase
  /proc/sys/asic/battery/learn_voltage
I increased it to 3700, but is that enough? Currently
the voltage is said to be at 4155mV, and it has been
a day since I last charged the device. When I
increased the value before charging, the voltage was below
3600mV.

meta data, my 2.4_2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh39-r1
kernel should still be up-to-date. If you suspect
that my compilation is the culprit and not some
known problem with the device, then I can reflash
with an official beta image, but I'd like to avoid
that if possible.
