There was a time when we could ask a CRL employee to at least view the
schematic. But CRL was closed last year. So unless you know somebody who
still works at hp, there is no one with an official schematic.

You are right. The usb host on the h5[4,5]xx has a two port hub between
it and the actual wifi device. But the pins to the second port may not
be at all accessible.
