h5555 batteries not charging/won't wake up

Hi,

I'm having a problem where neither of my batteries for my h5555 will now
charge. This is a very new condition unit I purchased with the normal and
the extended battery, I'm quite sure the batteries are good internally.

I've found some info from googling on other having this issue, but no real
resolutions. I find it hard to believe that every time I forget to keep a
charge in one of my batteries, I'm going to have to send the unit back to
HP.

I know not exactly a familiar question, but I thought with the experience
here some of you may have found a way to wake these up?

I went as far as buying a usb->ipaq cord in the hopes that would somehow
wake them up, where the cradle isn't, but no change, the batteries don't
even get warm in the cradle or using my new cable.

Any help appreciated, I want to get back to developing on this :(
