Ipaq 3130 install using CF?

Hey all,
is there any way installing Familiar on the Ipaq using Compact Flash Card?
The problem is, that the bootloader 2.18.54 seems to be the last one
offering support for the 3130 - but this bootloader isn´t capable of doing
CF-Install. I tried later bootloaders...they don´t seem to be fully
inoperational, but yeah...the display is kinda crippled. At least I couldn´t
install familiar.

Then again I don´t have a docking-station (at least not for now). But I
ordered a USB-Infrared-Adapter for synchronizing. My question: Will that
work with the USB Console offered in the bootloaders 2.2x.x? Or does anyone
have some other idea (except buying a dockingstation) on how to install
familiar?
