This may sound stange, but I had the same problem, and I still have no idea abot what causes this, but in my case, I "solved" it by connecting my computer directly to the modem. For some reason, my router that works just fine with all other traffic I may throw at it, just gets confused when I try to clone this repository. I will not even try to find out what may cause this!
