I personally do believe we should aim for full-screen operation with
little floating windows, because the ipaq screen if only a few cm
across in every direction and its resolution is quite small.

also, the screen happens to be rectangular. since buttons need to be
fairly large because a PDA is used on the train and in other locations
where you won't be able to reliably hit a too small area of the screen,
there will be only a small region near the center of the screen where a
circular menu can be done without parts of it being off screen.
