I am new to linux on the ipaq, only first installed it 2 weeks ago. I
looked at qtopia and while it was nice looking, I am not sure that is
the route I want to go. I think I would prefer a true linux like system
running x and so on. It would appear that gpe is going to be more my
style. The posting on familiar that lead me to this project mentioned a
release for gpe is imminent. So I was wondering what the time table is
on this and if all the PIM functions will be in the release.
Right now I have ion running with a couple of small utility apps,
nothing truly functional at the moment, just plinking around. So I
wouldn't mind installing the gpe packages if you could use another
person to test them. If someone could point me to them I would
appreciate it. If the link is on the page I am sorry, but I keep
missing it.
In my package manger the only gpe related item I have is gpe-appmgrz.
The only ipkg source I have at the moment is:
familiar.handhelds.org/familiar/feeds/unstable/packages/armv4l.
Anyway I would like to try and get involved.
Thanks,
Jerry
