Handwriting Recognition

Though not officially subscribed, I've been following this list for a while.
I currently use Opie, but miss the X environment and I like the fact that
GPE is taking advantage of Linux's security & multi-user capabilities.

My question has to do with handwriting recognition. I used xstroke with my
first few installations of Familiar and now, or course, use
opie-handwriting. I liked xstroke a great deal even though copy/paste
actions were almost impossible at that time. (I loved the simplicity of
configuration though!)
I've searched through the latest package list for GPE as well as the mailing
list archives and have found no mention of handwriting recognition. Since
GPE runs on X, are you using xstroke as the assumed handwriting recognition
method or is something else in development simular to opie-handwriting?

Thanks in advance,

Calvin Cannon
