gpe new user prompt

Hi
I installed GPE on my iPAQ. When I boot the iPAQ it brings up a new user
prompt. How do I type at this prompt? It asks for username, fullname,
password and confirm password. There is an "OK" button and it also states
"press record to recalibrate touchscreen". There is no graphical keyboard so
I can't proceed past this point.
