Indeed. I'll file a wishlist bug on gpe-conf.

"Screen Settings" is from the ipaqscreen package, which I'd consider
obsoleted by gpe-conf (which provides "Screen Setup").

Moray, if you don't have strong feelings about ipaqscreen, would you
remove it from the gpe-apps meta package?
(gpe/tasks/gpe-apps/dist/CONTROL/control)
