Ask a silly question ...

I'm sure this is probably a silly question .. but ...

I'm running Familiar v0.6 just released with the GPE
packaged, all very nice, works a treat. BUT .. the
one package I really need is a Contact Manager ... and
so off I trot to the unstable area and download gpe-
contacts ver 0.04 (along with gpe-filemanager
v0.02 while I'm there). Got and installed the prereq
libxml2 (2.24), installed gpe-contacts, update-menus,
icon duly appears in the PIM group under GPE, no
problems.

However! If I try to execute Contacts, I get the
following three errors:

Unable to load icon "/usr/share/gpe-contacts/pixmaps/
frame.xpm'
Unable to load icon "/usr/share/gpe-contacts/pixmaps/
notebook.xpm'
Unable to load icon "/usr/share/gpe-contacts/pixmaps/
entry.xpm'

(and yes, they all appear with a double quote to start
the quoted bit, and end with a single quote ..
strange)

Et voila, no Contacts app runs! I checked the files were there and in the expected directory, checked the
file permissions against those in
gpe-calendar/pixmaps, saw those had execute
permissions whereas the ones in gpe-contacts/pixmaps
did not, so tried setting execute permissions for
these pixmap files ... still no joy.

I know this is "unstable" ... but can anyone suggest
what I may be missing, please? This is the one
app I really need!!
