Aha, nice :-) ... and to think I was gonna patch sources to achieve
this. BTW I have some relevant .gtkrc stuff lying around somewhere we
should maybe merge and get into the gtk2 package.

Also its worth noting the GTK2 packages have been hacked a little to
produce a smaller file dialog .. If you do indeed have good GTK
experience you may want to take a look at this.
