ipaq 3130 e gpe2

Hey, I began to use linux two year ago and I bought, one year ago, a Ipaq 3130 b/w 16 mb rom + 16 mb ram.
I tried to install linux on it many times, but I come back to wince because some features was missing.
Now I have installed bootgpe-v061-01-h3100.jffs2 and I have add some packages like: links, mc, xdemineur, emailsync, gpe-mail, gpe-contacs, gpe-filemanager, libxml2.
Gpe-contacts don't work so I have convert /usr/share/gpe-contacts/pixmaps/*.xpm in *.gnp with gimp and rename it in *.xpm; now gpe-contacts work.
Now my iPAQ-Linux is really nice and complete.
But, You know, everyone wants always more.....can I update at gpe2 (Dillo2, libgtk2,..... ) with only 16 mb ram?
My ipaq doesn't have extra things like mmc, sd, compact flash, bluetooth or other things like this, and maybe I can remove some packages for create more space ( df -h /dev/mtdblock/1 15.8M 11.6M 4.2M 74% / ).
Another question: why gnumeric and not abiword?
