Have you had a look at them?
I just tested the Dustismo-Sans font at 7pt and it looks quite well! At
least somewhat better than the luxi-sans at 7pt (where e.g. the "e"
letter is almost unrecognizable). And compared to Luxi this font is
GPLed wo we could change what we want. Pfaedit is quickly evolving to a
superbly great font editing tool and gives font editing access to almost
anyone interested in it. It seems to me that there is not that a broad
font writer community than there is for software. And maybe this should
change... Anyway.
Putting much effort into the TTF problem is probably not worth it at the
moment since we will hopefully see the Vera fonts in about a month or
so.

But in general terms I would still like, Vera or not, to observe this
area closely. Having just one font-set, i.e. in our case Vera, might be
somewhat boring on the long run :) And then having alternatives might be
a good idea. I don't like the idea of having to rely on a single
source...
