Greetings,
I've been unsuccessful in getting the familiar v0.7 pre5 jffs2 to initialize
and startup. I've tried the bootstrap, bootopie and the bootgpe2 images
from http://familiar.handhelds.org/familiar/releases/v0.7/install/ location,
but get the same results from each. In all case the touchscreen goes dark.
A number of problems are shown below in the console initialization messages
I get when using the bootstrap image. The first sign of problems is when
the /linuxrc init script is unable to open the /proc/hal file to identify
the model. This then causes a number of subsequent failures.
Another unique problem identified by the following console message:
error while loading shared libraries: libgcc_s.so.1: cannot open
shared object file: Error 9
Sure enough, libgcc_s.so.1 is not found when I display the contents of the
/lib directory from the console.
As a sanity check, I've installed the bootgpe2 pre4 image and it initializes
and starts up fine.
Help please,
