New (pretty much successful) GPE install... except the java1.3 ipkg

Hello,

After messing about with the Opie install, I went back to GPE for a less
PDA-like system (the whole idea in the 1st place). My goals for this install
are:

1. Sharpen the old Unix skills.
2. Create highly portable Java environment.

The install went smoothly. I can surf the 'Net wireless and wired
(ethernet). Still have to see about dialing in to ATT Global Network, lower
priority for now. Waiting for Dillo to support https so I can get mail.

Here is what happened on my 2nd attempt to install Java (I halted the 1st
when I saw my available space shrink rapidly). I'm in stalling it onto a
128MB MMC card.

Any idea as to how to ignore the error messages or elimate them? If all that
stuff is already there, why have to remove it?

MMC card. I welcome all replies!
