Here's what I found so far:
Preferences don't seem to be saved in a number of places:
the 12 hour pref in the clock applet
the daylight savings time in the time pref doesn't seem to work
the alarm on a calendar event always gets reset to 100 minutes
Many apps draw parts of themselves off screen
the screen lock OK button
the calendar app when adding/editing an event
Other things don't work at all
the virtual keyboard pref brings up a near blank window
I've had real trouble just trying to set the time. The date/time applet
allows me to choose my timezone (est) and daylight savings time but
after syncing with an ntp server and having the time look correct in the
applet, as soon as I hit OK, the time jumps an hour ahead.
I'm having problems calibrating my screen. For the most part,
calibration works fine except in the upper right corner and along the
right screen edge. With the default Angelistic theme, it's very
difficult to close applications because I can't hit the little X. I've
tried recalibrating and right after recalibration, things seem to work
great. But after logging out and logging back in, or suspending, the
calibration is lost.
These problems make it difficult for me to continue to test GPE. I can't
get past these to test the day to day functions. Maybe this is just due
to a bad build?
Thanks,
tjb
