problems with bootXX-v0.7-rc1-h3100.jffs2

I use a iPAQ 3130 with gpe 6.2, and I tried to install the new
bootXXXX-v0.7-rc1-h3100.jffs2 (gpe and also opie).
I use minicom for that, but when I see the transfer up at 81511/10188K
the iPAQ closes, the transfer fails and I need a soft reset to restart
the iPAQ.
This is only my software problem or is it hardware problem?
How can I solve it?
