Thanks Colin,

This great HowTo show screenShots very similar to what I already saw except
that nothing is displayed face to Device, Driver, Type, ... lines.

I already tried to 'click' on the specified icon and select '3c589_cs' as
the right driver ; so seems to be the valid way to get it working ...
something else is missing.

For information I have in fact two versions of the 3c589 card : an
'original' 3Com 3C589D and a 'newer' MegaHertz 3C589 card ... both are not
working under GPE but are working well under WinCE.

The informations shown for the first card as "card indentifies itself as" is
"3Com Corporation 3C589D Manuf.Id: 0x0101, 0x0589 Class: 6" ... if this
could help.

Olivier

That probably means that there was no driver loaded for the card.

Florian: could "PC/CF Cards" say "<i>no driver loaded</i>" in that
case?

The first section of http://handhelds.org/z/wiki/GPEWirelessConfig
might help.

Cheers,
