I have been trying out GPE on my HP3950 and
things are going pretty well so far, I got my wireless
card working at home w/o WEP but I need to have WEP
for work, it appears that the wireless.opts file is
not getting read or something because whatever I put
in there seems to have no effect on the card (yes
after reboot). Where/What script calls the
wireless.opts file
and reads in the options? I am able to set the card up
with iwconfig manually and it associates with the AP
but I'm not savy enough to then get the routing etc
up. I tried reloading with /etc/init.d/networking
restart. and tried ifup eth0. Route shows nothing and
although ifconfig shows the AP mac it does not show an
IP address has been assigned. (It is suppose to get
the ip from the AP). Anyhow as you can see I know a
little but not enough, Can anyone help? Thanks.
