GPE is looking great, but I'm have a couple of
problems with some of the apps in 0.7-rc3.
figment - SegFault : Try to set "color items" in the
options menu when no items exist (ie. when you run it
for the first time without having enetered anything).
figment - Cannot see the highlighted item if "color
items" is enabled (ie. black text on a black
background).
gpe-today - Hangs on startup using 100% CPU. Seems to
be related to my todo list, since removing this file
fixes the problem. I need to investigate further.
gpe-edit - fails to load text files containing 'odd'
characters eg. /usr/share/application/gpe-calendar
gpe-clock - Does not re-draw the time when resumed, so
I have to wait for almost one minute to see the
correct time. (Same problem with matchbox clock).
gpe-filemanager - Does not follow symlinks to
directories (eg /home/me/ramdisk). Does nothing when
you select "show properties". Always says "No
available applications" when you select "Open with"
gpe button configuration - No option to leave a button
un-assigned (usefull when using scummvm as you can
bind a button to the scummvm "options" key)
hmmm.... I think thats about it.
Overall I love the GPE tools and these are the only
points stopping my experience being fantastic. I've
downloaded the latest cross compiler (I had the 2.95.3
but the executables have trouble resolving shared
libraries) so I may try and fix some of these myself.
