Ja, I tried that too.... it didn't work for me either. However, if you go to
/usr/lib/menu/ and find the menu file that starts the terminal... you find
that the font size is hard coded there too. Change the 5.5 to 9 or 12 (I use
12) and the terminal will start at the size.
