Slightly modified from my post to familiar_at_hh.org. I think that GPE folks
might be more interested in a common set of guidlines then the more diverse
group of familiar devs.

Has anyone given any though to a set of standard interface guidelines that
we should all probably follow when designing UI targeted at familiar/X+GPE?
Something else that is fairly important, is a set of packaging guidlines
that should be followed [eg: providing mime handling capabilities, menu
entries, running update-menu, update-mime]
I know that a "required" or even "suggested" set of guidlines might be
annoying to some people and adds a bit of extra effort, but I think it would
produce higher quality / more consistant packages.
Thoughts,
Adam
