My intention was not inly to save code but rather to have just one single
point have failure ;) If the code in the lib is broken for some reason
then just the lib has to be fixed and not all applications that use it
(like it is now).

Hmm ... At least for me speaking I am not dependant on the special
xsingleinstance implementation. If there are better ways to do it, fine!
Then let's use those methods ... in the lib ;)
