Does mysql not allow adding a field to an existing table? Regardless, it
would be easy enough to have a small program which either just adds the new
field to the existing database (if that capability exists), or that reads from
one database and writes to the other and then renames the new database to the
original location.
We should, of course, *try* to resolve all of the schema issues before
release, but it's not quite the end of the world if that doesn't happen.
