One other remark: I think xsi might be better off in a separate,
not-overtly-GPE, library. Programs like keylaunch can share that code
too, but someone who wants to use keylaunch outside the GPE environment
is unlikely to be impressed if it starts hauling in shared libraries
that contain all manner of other random baggage.
