Well, i am not handling anything currently.
The drawing area is in a scrollable window.
(unless it is badly configured and do not scroll exactly when it should! - see the bug list)
So it goes how it goes - and that's ok (not perfect but ok)

- I thought rotating the picture as well, it is ok for maps but not for text, so... forget.
- I thought having a square pixmap that will fit in any case (portrait/landscape). But why sould I restrict the drawing area if I have more place?

If I remember right, (I just played one hour with, then suddenly it disapeared) wince provided an "unlimited" drawing area, then just save the bounding box.
This could be good.
It would probably not encourage saving space. Then the selector may display the file's size.

If the drawing area keep a fixed size, it might be a preference.

I should also switch the toolbar horiz/vert when switching display mode.

what do you think?
