doesn't soud that simple to me.
imagine you mispell a word, you earse part of the word then writte again
or more tricky, you just scribble like you would do on a post-it,
you stroke many many (or even more!) times the same letter on the previous one to make the letter appear what you want.

mouaip, maybe in such case we just drop the strokes and letter will be just missing - up to the user to complete later?
