Some GPE newbie questions..

Hello everybody,

I would like using GPE in a university project I would
began next year (curse), it would be two years long,
more or less, and it would be based on designing a
Scientific Digital Assistant using GPE&Familiar as
base and XCAS as math app.

It would require to port xcas (fltk done) to gtk.. I
would have some help here from some friends in my
university (it is going to be a "big" project).

After that point, I have some questions about GPE:
- Is GPE going to be a complete package (with all the
apps that are being added), or just, every app will be
a ipk package?
- How about internationalitation.. I mean xx.po files?
I am working in spanish version of xcas, and I would
like to know how gpe localizated version would be
done, because I would like helping on spanish
localization for GPE.
- GPE is using gtk 1.2, isn't it? Is there any plan
using gtk 2.0 ?
- I consider gpe as the gnome of handhelds, is there
any gnome community support?
- I am GUNIH project member (GUNIH stands for Gnome in
Hispanic-American Universities), and if this
university project comes a reality marketabe product,
I would like to include it on GUNIH..
