My progress on porting Gaim to the GPE environment is coming along
nicely. I have created a set of patches against Gaim CVS (to be 2.0.0),
that makes the GUI more suitable for small screen devices. I have just
finished redoing the accounts dialog, so now it should be possible to
setup an account, and use Gaim to chat away :-)
The next big showstopper is the Settings-dialog, which in contrast to
the old Gaim 1.x.y is almost unusable even on an desktop :-) (It
features a gigantically wide notebook widget)
My patches are at
http://shiyee.dk/patches-gaim/
I need to get access to the hh.org CVS soon though, so would like to
have some advice on how to proceed with that.
I have put up a gallery at
http://shiyee.dk/gpe-gaim-scrs/
My current TODO contains:
- Settings-dialog!!!
- Buddy list hover-info/click action
- Test with "inverted" screen
- Import to OpenEmbedded & GPE CVS
- Link with libgpewidget
- Replace spacings with the gpe spacings functions (easy)
- Replace file-browser dialogs with gpe-file-browser
dialogs(gtk_file_selection_new)
- (Replace toolbars with gpe-toolbars?)
- Action dialogs
- File-transfers dialog
- Privacy-dialog (Already usable)
Done:
- Room list dialog
- Account dialogs
- General request dialogs
- Icon sizes
- Buddylist dialogs
- Spacings/border sizes moved to a single define
I will be without regular internet access in the coming week, so I hope
to get something "out" before then.
Any feedback is appreciated!!!
