Yeah, I was thinking about this again yesterday, it really is time we
did something about contacts. We've been waiting for Dave Hall's OPDS
library to become available; I'm not sure exactly what the timescale is
on that, though Dave did send me a mail last night saying he was still
working on it. If it's a long way off, it might be worth implementing
direct schema access in gpe-contacts now, and maybe converting it to use
the library at some point in the future.
