syncronizing pim stuff with computer and pda

Does anyone know how to setup synchronization? I tried following the
guide at http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/GpeSync , but it looks
like it's go some problems. There are a whole bunch of links on it that
don't work, and at the end of it, there is a set of completely different
instructions
( http://handhelds.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/~checkout~/gpe/base/gpe-opensync/INSTALL?rev=1.3 ). I tried following the instructions posted at the end of the wiki because they seemed to the newest, but the command:
svn co http://svn.opensync.org/multisync/trunk multisync-0.90
seems to download a dir without anything in it to compile.

any help would be much appreciated, Jared
