IIRC there is a script in GNOME CVS to 'port' the XML glade files over.
It was used before the glade2 *tool* was ready, but when the file format
was.

More importantly (IMHO), it allows people like you (Moray) to go and
screw around with our crappy UIs without bothering with compiling
everything all the time ;)
