Yup, and it is well understood :(
I am really quite unsure how to handle those alarms.
My current approach is not really very good. Something like atd is IMHO
also not the way we should do it (sorry Russell). On the other hand ...
I don't know better!

OK. I will try to collect my thoughts into a small document and post it
to the ML. Hopefully we can together come to a conclusion finally (and
believe me: Alarms are very important for me too; that's why I wrote
gpe-alarm in the first place!).
