Hi all!
You can give those fonts a try now. I have setup a little package:

        http://www.handhelds.org/~nils/freettf_0.1_all.ipk

It contains:
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts:
total 476
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 80796 Aug 22 13:20 Caliban.ttf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 49872 Aug 22 13:20 CaslonBold-1.ttf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 59244 Aug 22 13:20
CaslonItalic-1.ttf-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 53996 Aug 22
13:20 CaslonRoman-1.ttf-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 50276 Aug 22
13:20 CaslonRomanSmallCaps-1.ttf-rw-r--r-- 1 root root
38252 Aug 22 13:20 MonospaceBold-1.ttf-rw-r--r-- 1 root root
  70452 Aug 22 13:20 MonospaceOblique-1.ttf-rw-r--r-- 1 root root
       39988 Aug 22 13:20 MonospaceRoman-1.ttf

"Caliban" is the sans-serif font and nice for example on xkbd...
I have not yet found a good font for rxvt-aa so I would vote for
including some additional small fixed misc fonts like 5x8 and some 6x??
in the fonts package. The rxvt-bitmap version is then also very usable
and nice...

So, please give the above a try!
If it should be added I can stick it into unstable later on...
