Its normal for font people to use "dont change it" licensing. They
consider their fonts the same way an artist continues a picture. Another
problem is that type-1 rendering with bytecode hinting is something that
is not allowed in the USSA due to patents, only in the rest of the
world.
Where does Debian draw the line on this btw - they ship images that you
are not permitted to modify and which have trademark rules. (Ok they
also ship a pile of icons that appear to be other peoples trademarks
without permission but Im sure that one is an accident)
