I tried familiar 0.6 first with opie, then I tried to install gpe.
While opie installed "out of the box" (just installed the appropriate .ipk),
gpe seems to be a different beast in this respect: after installing the gpe
bootloader (versioin 10) and booted, I only got an empty X screen.
I installed then task-complete, task-x and gpe meta-packages, just to make
sure.
I only got some errors when it tried to install dillo (related to different
gtk libraries' versions), but let's pretend I dont' need it for now.
After re-runing "ipkg install" for the 3 meta-packages above-mentioned, I
finally got "Package gpe (0.01) installed in root is up to date" (similar for
task-complete and task-x). I also run postinst succesfully.
After rebooting, still the same empty X screen. How do I prove to myself that
I have GPE installed? Any gpe utility I try to run, it says it cannot find
the libgcc_s shared library...
Thanks in advance,
/sorin gherman
