In that case, gpe-appmgr in familiar 0.6 needs updating; 0.08 (and I
think 0.07) used pidof. There's a newer copy of that file which fixes
another bug (if appmgr isn't running) which I'll release as 0.09
somewhen (probably soonish).

It's a dock, and there's nowhere to dock. It's probably possible to make
a dock as part of the gpe-login window though...

As others said, record to RAM not flash; 'keylaunch' should default to
recording to ~/ramdisk/ if you use the hardware button to start
gpe-soundbite.
