Wouldn't we simply include *for each record* a sync-host list, a
last-synced value for each host, and a modification date for the current
record. Then we have an app that says "which host are you?" and "which
host am I?" and checks which is newer the current guys modification
date, the "other (host)" guys modification date, or the sync date,
etc....
