Dunno if it's the "proper technical fix", but I effectively removed
/etc/X11/Xsession-gpe.d/65xstroke (I actually moved it to
/etc/X11/Xsession-gpe.d/.65xstroke) .. it will not get run everytime you
logout.

I'm not seeing the same problem with the reboot ... but if someone cares, my
clock seems to go a little screwy between reboots (I lose/gain time).

I've also noticed that gpe-calendar does not update it's date setting often
enough (ie, run ntpdate to reset the time, and several minutes (no actual
figure) later, it's still on the same date. Yes .. my clock can be out by
several days after a reboot. (I do it nicely).
