Actually all CF cards can operate in TrueIDE mode, it's just a matter of
pulling up/down the right signals to get it there. Techinically just GND
pin 39 I think(check the CF spec) and you can "get away" with it.

Sycard (www.sycard.com) makes some of these adaptors but they are more
engineering devices not everyday use type of thing. Honestly it wouldn't
be hard to build a CF adaptor that puts the card into TrueIDE mode, you'd
just need to butt two connectors back to back and hookup 7 or 8 wires to
the right place(VCC or GND for those who don't care about power
consumption).

I modified a PCMCIA adaptor card that takes a CF card and puts it into
TrueIDE mode. Mine was made from an ITT Cannon CF to PCMCIA adaptor and it
was tested in in a Brutus(and of course it worked =) w/kernel 2.2.12.
