Toshiba e Series

Ian Molton is working on porting to the Toshiba e740/e750/e800 PDAs (and indirectly e330 might be working too).

For e310/e330/e740/e750/e400/e800 see http://www.mnementh.co.uk/eseries/ for his progress.

See the kernel forum here for more details and updates: http://discussion.brighthand.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=197

From IRC:

Spyro: I have had GPE running on the e750
syb: Do you think that support for the VGA+USBHost expansion pack is actually
  possible?
Spyro: yes
Spyro: the epansion pack only has a couple of line-drivers in it in anycase -
the guts is in the PDA.
syb: *wow* ... like wow because that means that it should be possible to have
this Linux device with say all of your important data and apps on it (5Gig CF
microdrive) and by plugging in any available Screen + USB Keyboard, mouse,
HDD, CDROM,etc = a fully nice working computer *anywhere* that could function
as my main machine for almost everything (except say 3D graphics and
  compiling large amounts of code).
Spyro: indeed - cool huh? multi-head no less

Linux on Toshiba e330?

Yep, apparently it's possible with Ian's (patches to the) kernel as reported on the Linux e750 forums Fri Nov 14, 2003 4:43 pm. Looks to me like Xavier Debonte is the clever (and daring) French man behind this successful experiment:

I have an e330 too. I've tried the spyro's kernel to it and it does that for me:

For specifications, I've got this document:
